On Christmas Day, my life changed in an instant when a fire destroyed my home, my three cars, and every belonging I owned. The loss was total—my first home, filled with memories and the things I worked so hard for, was gone in a matter of hours. The shock and heartbreak of losing everything, especially during the holidays, has been overwhelming.

In the aftermath, I’ve been focused on finding temporary housing and replacing the essentials: clothes, food, coats, and shoes. The Red Cross and Waukesha Fire Department have been incredible, offering immediate support and comfort when I needed it most. But as I begin to rebuild, I’m facing many challenges and expenses that I can’t manage alone.
