I'm 38 years old and have been suffering with lupus, POTS, and degenerative scoliosis for 13 years. It's been a long road of ups and downs, with various hospitalizations, expensive treatments, and many challenges just trying to live life at times. There have been moments of joy and good health, but each flare-up seems more difficult than the last. This time, my mobility is greatly impacted—I'm unable to sit up for long, walk, or stand for very long. The pain has left me unable to work, and I'm facing an extensive lumbar fusion surgery from T12-L4. I'm scared, but hopeful that this surgery will finally end the majority of the pain I've lived with for so long, and that I can get back to helping patients working in healthcare, which I truly miss.

Right now, things are especially challenging because my mom, who has always been there to help me, was recently diagnosed with kidney cancer and also needs surgery. We are both facing major health battles at the same time, and it's overwhelming. The funds from this fundraiser will help cover my medical needs, surgery, and recovery, as well as living expenses while I heal.
