Bryce and I never imagined our journey to grow our family would look like this. Over the past year, we have experienced the heartbreak of losing four babies. Each one was deeply loved, deeply wanted, and will always be part of our story. Those losses have changed us in ways we’re still processing—but they’ve also made one thing incredibly clear: our desire to grow our family is stronger than ever.
After meeting with our reproductive endocrinologist and reviewing my medical history, we received devastating news. It is not safe for me to carry another pregnancy. In fact, attempting to do so could be life-threatening. Because of this, surrogacy is now our only path forward. This is especially meaningful to me, because in 2020, I had the honor of serving as a surrogate for another family. I know firsthand the beauty and sacrifice of that journey. I carried a baby for parents who couldn’t, and now we find ourselves on the other side—praying someone might be willing to do the same for us.
Our next step is to begin the IVF process to create embryos, and then to find a gestational carrier who can help bring our baby into the world. Surrogacy is incredibly expensive. Between medical procedures, legal requirements, and surrogate-related costs, the financial burden is significant. This is not easy for us to share.
If you feel led to support us—whether through a donation, sharing our story, or even connecting us with a potential surrogate—we are so deeply grateful. We truly believe our story isn’t over yet. Thank you for being part of our village. —Deanna & Bryce
