Help Deana Johnson & Family Rebuild After a Devastating House Fire

On August 29, our family’s lives changed in a matter of minutes.

My sister, Deana Johnson, was among the families affected by the devastating Railroad South Fire near Indiahoma, Oklahoma.

As the wildfire rapidly approached her home, Deana had only minutes to evacuate. No time to decide what was important enough to take. The priority was simply getting out and getting to safety.

Within a short time, the fire engulfed the home Deana had lived in for 32 years. It wasn’t simply a house—it was the place where decades of memories were made, family gathered, and a lifetime was built.

Seven family members were living in the home: Deana, Joesyah Jariahs, Shakoba, Ilaina, Brandon, and Tdommy. Ilaina and Brandon had recently moved into the home and had brought many of their belongings with them, only to lose so much before they even had the opportunity to truly settle in.

While belongings can eventually be replaced, our family is also grieving a loss that cannot be replaced. Four beloved fur babies tragically lost their lives in the fire. They weren’t simply pets—they were members of this family, and their loss has made an already devastating situation even more heartbreaking.

Deana and her family are now faced with the overwhelming reality of having to rebuild their lives.

We are raising money to help the family with immediate necessities such as temporary housing, clothing, shoes, food, toiletries, transportation, medications and personal necessities, as well as furniture and household items as they begin the long process of starting over.
