My name is Brenda Sturgis and I am the sister of Dean Ferris.

If you know Dean, you know what an incredible man that he is. He has a helper’s heart, a pep in his step, and a smile on his face for everyone he meets.

He greets every child with a high-five and a hug if they want one, and there is not a dog he doesn’t love.

Dean was diagnosed with a rare cancer, called a Neuroendocrine tumor on his pancreas.

Only 5% of people have this type of cancer, it is stage IV.

The hope and good news is that it responds well to chemotherapy and immunotherapy, which he will be undergoing soon.

Becky (Dean’s amazing wife) will be taking care of him but he is out of work for the foreseeable future.

As anyone who has had cancer knows, there are unlimited expenses, ordinary everyday bills but also things that pop up and any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.
