Help Dean & Dana's Family Find a Safe Home

To Our Family and Friends:

Dean and Dana Dugas along with their 3 young children are no longer Iiving in that house as described below. They are now living with us temporarily until they can find a new place of their own. They still appreciate your help with the expenses involved in getting into a new house or apartment. They thank you for all your prayers, love and support!

To Our Family and Friends:

Our daughter, son-in-law, and 3 young grandchildren live in Inverness in a house that a lousy landlord won't do any repairs. The air/heat hasn't worked in 3 years, the floors have fallen in, the electricity is so bad that they have to unplug the fridge to turn on lights as only one outlet works in the kitchen. Dana has never been able to use the stove to cook bc the outlet doesn't work bc the electric breaker pops. No one can sleep in the bedrooms bc of the holes in the floors, so Dean and Dana sleep in the enclosed front porch and all 3 kids sleep on the living room floor. Dean & Dana's family deserve better! The 3 girls are constantly sick from the mold/mildew and the infestation of bugs/rodents. No spest control helps with all the holes. The landlord lives down south and doesn't care. She has told Dean & Dana to fix it themselves bc she's not going to do it, but she keeps raising their rent. They have no lease and they are concerned about making waves and being kicked out. Dean has tried with their low income to buy materials do repairs at their own expense. Dean & Dana are trying to get the finances they need to get out of this situation and into a better home to raise their 3 children. They've tried low income apartments, but they been on a wait list for 2 years.
