My name is Carol Denyer. I am the leader of Better Bromley - an action group that advocates and supports local people and campaigns on issues such as housing, safety and crime. Being a dog owner, I was heartbroken - when I heard about Sabre, a sweet, innocent staff - who was shot with a 30mm carbon steel ball bearing- whilst out on her daily walk in St Paul's Cray Park, Bromley.

Dean, her owner thought the worst when the ball bearing struck and rushed his cherished companion to the vets for emergency surgery. Thankfully, Sabre survived but has a long road to recovery, after losing an eye.

As well as being traumatised by the event and dealing with Sabre's rehabilitation. Dean has been left with a huge vet bill; for the surgery and medication. This will only rise with follow-up Vet visits.

I asked Dean a few days ago - if the community could help - with donations towards Sabre's Vet Bill - but he politely declined. I asked him to reconsider a couple of days later, and I am.pleased to say he accepted - hence this go-fund-me page.
