Help Dean Continue His Therapy and Progress

From the very beginning, Dean has been a fighter. Our sweet boy was born with cerebral palsy, and since he was just a baby, he has worked harder than most of us ever will—simply to do the everyday things we often take for granted. Over the years, he has shown up to more than 900 therapy appointments, giving his absolute best each and every time. His strength, determination, and joyful spirit continue to amaze us. Dean’s journey hasn’t been easy. He has endured physical, occupational, and speech therapy, serial casting, leg braces, hand splints, Botox treatments, and even a major spine surgery. After that surgery, he had to relearn how to walk. Watching your child start over like that is something no parent can fully prepare for—but Dean faced it with courage beyond his years. Today, Dean is thriving in first grade. He is full of life, full of joy, and a light to everyone who knows him. But behind that smile is a little boy who still works incredibly hard every single day just to keep up. Recently, we received devastating news. Due to budget cuts, Dean was unexpectedly dropped from his secondary state insurance—the coverage that made his ongoing care possible. Since early January, he has not been able to attend regular therapy, and we are already seeing signs of regression. Now, each therapy session costs $650 out of pocket, and with multiple specialist visits at Vanderbilt each year, along with intensive therapy camps that could truly change the trajectory of his progress, we are facing a financial burden far beyond what we can manage on our own. We are on a waiting list for state medical grants, but the wait is expected to be at least a year—time that Dean simply cannot afford to lose. We truly believe God has a beautiful purpose for Dean’s life, and we are committed to doing everything we can to help him grow, heal, and thrive. If you feel led to support Dean—whether through prayer, sharing his story, or giving in any way—we would be so deeply grateful. Every bit of support helps give him the chance to keep moving forward. Thank you for loving our boy, for believing in him, and for being part of his journey.
