Help Dean Barbour Recover from Dengue
Donation protected
In June, Dean Barbour came down with Dengue fever. He hasn't fully recovered from that and has been unable to work. He's fallen behind on his rent, and his landlord locked him out and he's homeless right now.
The initial goal of this fundraiser is to get Dean current with his rent so he can return home. After that, money raised will be used to defray his other living expenses until he is able to work again.
Dean writes: "I'm still not fully recovered, feel like I have a Cat 5 hangover. I'm confident that if I can muddle through the next 3 1/2 months until the high season comes around again, I'll be fine.
"I live a very simple life. I haven't seen the inside of a restaurant or bar in 10 years, I don't buy clothes, and I've slashed my monthly budget to the bone and get by on about $850 a month. "
"It's a good life. The only sense of deprivation I live with is not seeing movies. My main sources of entertainment are watching movies on cable and of course the wonderful clang and clatter of PW. "
So the goal would be to raise enough to cover Dean for six months of living expenses, which would get him through December. That would be $5000.
