Help Deaf Year 12s Volunteer for Deaf Children in The Gambia

We are a group of 7 eager Deaf 6th formers in Heathlands school for the Deaf - Yes, the first 6th formers ever! - raising £5,000 pounds to support Deaf children in The Gambia, Africa for a week in October 2025. We have already raised approximately £1,000 so far with our volunteering work and the help of Friends Of Heathlands (FOH). We only need £4,000 more. This funding will cover the costs of our transportation, food and essential donations which would be educational equipment, toys and other resources which would make a lasting difference. Many of the Deaf children in The Gambia, Africa have been facing significant challenges and difficulties due to limited access to resources. We are determined to provide support and create a positive impact, with your help and generosity which will bring us hope, connection and much-needed aid to these children.
