Most know that Deacon began having unexplained seizures 2 months ago. At work on Friday, Deacon had more seizures and suffered status epilepticus. This is a life-threatening neurological emergency. It is also rare, but both times Deacon has had seizures, it progressed to this condition. This time was much worse. He went into respiratory failure with hypoxia and was placed on life support. He was then cared for in the St. Vincent’s ICU.

He is recovering now, and will need to take time off work. We are raising money to help cover bills while he waits for paid leave to come into effect, which currently has a long wait time. Any donation, no matter the size, will be greatly appreciated.
