Help Deacon Hector Rebuild After Fire

Our deacon Hector needs us:

In the afternoon of July 12th 2025, the house of deacon Hector Rolando was stroked by lightning, which crossed through the roof and caused a devastating fire. Thank God everyone is safe, but the loss is overwhelming — a lifetime of memories, belongings, and stability gone in an instant. Even though the house was insured, it is uncertain if the company will fully cover the structure. As expected, he will have to incur other expenses such as securing a temporary home (the place is uninhabitable), renting a storage place for his personal belongings (whatever is left), specialized cleaning services, etc.

For many years, deacon Hector's generosity has impacted many lives in many different manners; he has truly shown us how to be a disciple of Jesus by living the acts of mercy written in the gospel "For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me."

In this moment of vulnerability, deacon Hector needs our prayers more than ever; moreover, your financial contribution can truly help him get up from this moment of hardship. En la tarde del 12 de julio de 2025, la casa del diácono Héctor Rolando fue alcanzada por un rayo que atravesó el techo y provocó un incendio devastador. Gracias a Dios, todos están a salvo, pero la pérdida es abrumadora: toda una vida de recuerdos, pertenencias y estabilidad se esfumó en un instante. Aunque la casa estaba asegurada, no se sabe si la compañía cubrirá la estructura por completo. Como era de esperar, tendrá que incurrir en otros gastos, como conseguir una vivienda temporal (el lugar es inhabitable), alquilar un lugar para guardar sus pertenencias (lo que quede), servicios de limpieza especializados, etc.

Durante muchos años, la generosidad del diácono Héctor ha impactado muchas vidas de diversas maneras. Él realmente nos ha mostrado cómo ser discípulos de Jesús viviendo las obras de misericordia escritas en el Evangelio: «Porque tuve hambre, y me disteis de comer; tuve sed, y me disteis de beber; fui forastero, y me acogisteis; estuve desnudo, y me vestisteis; estuve enfermo, y me visitasteis; estuve en la cárcel, y vinisteis a mí».
