A week ago, my Aunt and Uncle, Deacon and Deaconess Mills, experienced a devastating loss when a 4-alarm fire tore through their apartment complex at 1 Maryland Circle in Pennsylvania. In a matter of moments, everything they owned was destroyed. Thankfully, they made it out safely, but as senior citizens, they now face the unimaginable challenge of starting over with only the clothes they were wearing. The images of the fire, which I’ve shared on my Facebook page, show just how severe the damage was and how much they’ve lost.
The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward helping Deacon and Deaconess Mills find temporary housing and begin replacing the essential items they need to rebuild their lives. From clothing and toiletries to basic household goods, every contribution will help them take the first steps toward recovery. The support of friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers will mean the world to them as they navigate this difficult time.
I want to take this time to thank you for your support for my Aunt and Uncle. A tragedy at any time is devastating, but it's absolutely worse at the height of the holiday season. There’s no donation too small—whatever we are able to give to them will be greatly appreciated by everyone. Your kindness and generosity will help bring hope and comfort to Deacon and Deaconess Mills as they begin to rebuild.
