Help DDTST get to IDF Dance World Championships 24

The Deborah Day Theatre School Trust has been nurturing students in the London Borough of Newham for the past 40 years. 30 Students have been selected by the England IDF Representative to represent the British Team at the International Dance Federation Championships in Croatia which takes place from 21st to the 26th May 2024. The IDF competition is a fantastic opportunity for them to compete at the highest level with peers from all over the world and progress their skills towards any aspiration of a performing arts career.

We are seeking sponsorship for our students. This includes the costs of flights, hotel accommodation and compulsory England tracksuit uniform which comes to £1000 each, this is without entry fees and costumes.

The children we are taking range in age from 6 to 17 years. All of our children train in many dance sport genres including Ballet, Contemporary, Tap, Jazz, Acrobatics as well as singing. Our squad train at DDTST based in Forest Gate for a minimum of 12 hours a week & the older students up to 20 hours a week.

We believe that this would be a huge opportunity to represent their country also give them an opportunity to:-

1. Be recognised for all the hard work and dedication that they have shown over a number of years.

2. Be a lifetime experience to compete on an international platform with the very best in the world and to participate in a multicultural world event, with peers from over 25 different countries.

3. Build on existing sportsmanship. Both success and defeat at this level are important lessons that will be shared with teammates. Dancing at this level requires discipline preparation, focus, mental and physical strength and importantly a sense of community. These skills will build on self-esteem and confidence creating a positive environment in all aspects of their personal social and educational achievements.
