Help Dayn Defeat Cancer

Hello GoFundMe Friends,

I am Alycia Knicely, sister of Dayn Quick of Waynesboro, VA and I’m starting this GoFundMe page to assist my brother in his continued determination to defeat his battle against cancer. It’s difficult to find the words to tell his story, but I’ll try my best through this short poem:

It all started in early September,

This date for Dayn, he will sadly remember!

While carrying out his daily task of shaving,

Leads us now to hoping and praying.

First appearing as a small “bump”

Quickly growing to a rather large lump.

The diagnosis is Squamous Cell Cancer of the Head and Neck,

Leading him to this untried life trek.

Undergoing weekly chemo treatments and daily radiation

Although no time at work, has been NO vacation!

On behalf of my brother Dayn, I am asking for your continued prayers. He and his fiancé, Angela are so very grateful and humbled by the outpouring of prayers, love and support given by neighbors, friends, co-workers, and family throughout this journey. They couldn’t have asked for more! In fact, they would never! Thus, I have started this fundraiser to assist them with the financial hardship they are currently facing. The loss of Dayn’s income throughout this time, medical bills, treatment costs, feeding tube surgeries, hospital stays, and medical supplies/expenses have given them something more to worry about during a time when Dayn’s continued fight and recovery should be their only focus. Any donations to assist them through this time would be greatly appreciated. Continued prayers are most appreciated, as well. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and for your consideration in helping out in any way in which you are able.
