Hi, my name is Dayjah, and I never imagined I would be writing this. On February 11th, my home caught fire and was severely damaged, leaving me and my family displaced with little time to prepare. In a matter of hours, we lost our sense of safety, many of our belongings, and the place we called home. My son Jaxson'Ky and I also had to spend time in the ER due to smoke inhalation, and we are now trying to navigate everything while coping with the emotional shock of this loss.
As many of you know, my 6-year-old son Jaxson'Ky is nonverbal and has autism. Sudden changes are especially difficult for him, and this situation has been incredibly overwhelming—for both of us. Right now, my biggest priority is making sure he feels safe, stable, and supported while we figure out our next steps. As of right now, the home is unlivable, and we are looking at getting it removed, because we still have to pay our lot rent on top of the removal and finding a new place to live.
The funds raised will go toward immediate needs such as temporary housing, food, clothing, basic necessities, transportation, and replacing essential items we lost in the fire. Any additional support will help us work toward a stable living situation as we recover and rebuild our lives. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser means just as much. Your kindness, prayers, and support during this incredibly difficult time truly mean more than I can express. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for helping us get through this.
