My friend has been a part of my life for over a decade, starting as an employee at DayBreaks Diner 12 years ago. Over the years, she has become like a daughter to me, always showing up with a smile and a strong work ethic. She is a devoted mother to two children and recently achieved her dream of buying a home for her family. Her dedication to her family and her customers at the diner is truly inspiring.

Tragically, just four days before Christmas, her new home caught fire. In a matter of moments, everything was lost. The most important thing is that everyone, including the family dog, made it out safely. Still, the loss is overwhelming, especially during what should be a joyful time of year. The fire department is currently assessing the damage, and her family is left without a place to stay or the comforts of home, including all the things that make Christmas special for her children.

I am reaching out to our community and beyond to ask for help. The funds raised will go directly toward helping her family find temporary housing and replacing essentials, including Christmas items for her children.
