Help Day Made Kaffe buy her Soft Serve Machine!

Friends and Family and friends of friends of family of friends! I, Ash, needs your help! The cost of doing business in Seattle is high, and unforeseeable costs are still yet to come. For this reason, I am raising money to buy my soft serve machine, the Spaceman 6210c! Which will be around 6,500.

Our coffee program will have an exclusive wholesale partnership with Coffee Collective—a reknown roaster known for its commitment to sustainability and direct trade and its exceptionally aromatic coffees. We aim to educate our customers on ethical sourcing while providing a coffee experience that highlights the natural flavors of each origin. We will also be partnering with local roaster, Olympia Coffee that shares this similar ethos.

Day Made Kaffe Bar will set itself apart from other cafes in the area with its Danish interior design, exclusive coffee offerings, care-centered customer service, and delicious soft-serve ice cream.

Mission:

Provide exceptional coffee offerings in a warm atmosphere with a focus on sustainability from seed to cup. We will host public cuppings for the coffee community, social cycling meet-ups, and coffee industry folks for talks on the state of specialty coffee and the importance of economically sustainable trade practices for coffee farmers around the world.

About the owner:

A dual citizen of Denmark and the USA, Ash moved to Copenhagen in 2016 after graduating from Florida State University to be closer to family and to work in the food and beverage industry in one of the most world-renowned cities for just that. While there, she became a sous bar manager at the Coffee Collective and helped manage an international group of colleagues while learning everything she could about the coffee industry and supply chain. This is where her passion for gastronomy, sustainable trade and farming practices, creating memorable customer experiences, brewing aromatic coffees, and using her bicycle as her main source of transport really took off. While in Europe, she also worked as Communications Director for The Barista League, helping to grow social engagement by 20% and organize large-scale barista events across Europe and the USA.

Since moving to Seattle in 2019, Ash has continued to work in the coffee industry, from cafe management, to organizing coffee industry events, and working in equipment sales and marketing. All of this bringing her one step closer to her dream of owning her own cafe; and that day is here, and that is DAY MADE.
