On Saturday, August 16, 2025 Dax went to the ER for what he believed to be kidney stones. After a simple CBC blood test, his world got turned upside down. He was told he was being transported via ambulance to MD Anderson where he would go through extensive testing to see what had his blood counts all out of wack. After tons of tests, scans, and more needle sticks than one can count, Dax was diagnosed with Chronic Myelomonocytic leukemia. He is currently at MD Anderson receiving the best treatment possible, and will be in there for some time to come. He starts his chemo journey Monday, August 25, 2025.

To know this guy is to love him. Rather you know him by Dax, Mike, Campise, or DJ Dax, you know he’s a genuine great dude who would do anything for anyone. Now it’s our turn to step in and help him out with his growing medical bills and his home bills that we all know don’t quit because you’re down.
