Help Dax Heal: Support His Recovery
Donation protected
Hello friends, family, coworkers, and all lovers of Dax the Comfort King of Chateau Chabot.
On July 3rd, we took our beautiful, dopey, cuddly, sassy, and very sick cattle dog-pibble mix to the emergency vets in Minneapolis. He was diagnosed with an obstruction and rushed to their Brooklyn Park ER where Dr. Chu, an amazing surgeon, worked on him overnight.
Since then, it has been the week from hell. Our poor guy has toughed out three more vet visits, and we just heard that Dax's surgical site is infected and he needs a drain input. While the team at Allied Vet Hospital in Brooklyn Park is incredible, Phil and I are at our wits' end, and all we can think about is how scared and in pain our puppy must be.
The financial burden over these last 4 veterinary visits has been one of the largest we have experienced. Lots of that burden has been taken care of (Thank you, Carbaughs and Chabots). And while we are eternally grateful for that untold financial and emotional support, Dax still needs a little boost to get to healing. After veterinary loans and moving funds around as much as possible, we are sucking dry.
Whatever you can give is great. Even $5 will be a relief when we are at the vet's front desk.
Thank you so very much for reading this, and for your support during this time. We have been so humbled by this experience and all the support coming in. We all love Dax and I think he can feel it all the way up at the ER Vet!
