5 weeks ago, Dawn's mother, Jude, was living her best life on her own terms. She was actively fighting metastatic breast cancer.
After several weeks of hospitalizations, the doctors disclosed Jude was losing her second battle with breast cancer, which Jude had been committed to beating again and again. End-of-life care would be required for the next weeks to months.
Without concern for her own financial stability, Dawn asked her mother and her mom's four-legged babies to come home with her, where Dawn would care for them all, along with her family already residing in their home, until the end.
Dawn's home was immediately transformed into a 24/7 care facility and comforting home for Jude and her family and friends to gather around her in support.
Dawn took on this loving commitment knowing she would have no income from her employer, no previous medical care experience, and no knowledge of the pre-grief and fear that would onset in both women.
If you are able to help ease the financial burden a commitment of this nature incurs, please consider offering a donation. No donation is too small.
