Dawn Payne-Jensen (aka Dawn Miskulin) has spent her life helping others, but now she needs our help more than ever. He made no further financial contributions after an initial gift. Dawn gave up alimony to keep the house, and for 23 years, she paid every mortgage payment, tax bill, insurance premium, and repair. Despite this, her stepfather fought her in court, seeking half the value of the home. The legal battle has cost Dawn dearly in attorney fees. I sat in that courtroom and watched him lie under oath, he changed the property title without her knowledge, and placed a lien on her home during litigation. The courtroom was filled with supporters who believed justice would prevail. Today, we received devastating news: the court has ordered a forced sale, and her stepfather and his new wife will receive half the proceeds.

Dawn shows up for others every single day, even as her own world has been turned upside down. She truly needs a win.
