Dawn Russell, my aunt, experienced a devastating house fire yesterday. After returning home from work, she found her house engulfed in flames. Thanks to the quick response of first responders, her beloved pets were rescued, but they required immediate medical attention and temporary rehoming. The fire consumed much of the kitchen and living room, and the rest of the house suffered extensive smoke and water damage. Many of Dawn’s personal belongings, cherished memories, and daily essentials were lost or damaged during the firefighting efforts.

Right now, Dawn is still assessing the full extent of the damage, but it’s clear she faces a long road ahead. She will need help covering vet bills, finding temporary housing, and replacing clothing, furniture, and other essentials. The funds raised will go directly toward caring for her pets, providing meals and self-care products, and helping Dawn begin the process of rebuilding her life.
