I'm making this GoFundMe on behalf of my Auntie Dawn Levesque. She is my mama's big sister. Although very humble, I convinced her to ask for assistance to help

her while she’s evacuated due to the Eaton Canyon Fires. Due to heavy winds and fire, she has major damage to her exterior fence and yard. She is evacuated and can’t return to her home so we don’t know the extent of smoke damage. This money will

go towards deductibles, food, lodging, prescriptions and other essentials until

she can return. We all are very blessed that she didn’t lose everything and grateful for friends and family.

My Aunt has been a blessing to our family and has been the matriarch for all of us! Her eldest son lost his entire home in Altadena, as well as his mother-in-law's and brother-in-law's. The amount of grief and sadness is overwhelming. She fled her home when firefighters evacuated her under emergency duress early on a Tuesday morning, never imagining that all of our community of Altadena would be gone in a matter of days and still burning. She was only able to pack a small bag. She didn't get any medications, cash, heirlooms, or anything but the clothes she thought she would need for 2 days.

It is believed she will be able to go back home in a couple of months.

She was the first of our family to migrate to this beautiful community in the early '60s with her husband.
