Hey friends and family - this has been a weird thing to do, but I also know I don’t know what else to do to help from so far away!

My wonderful mother was recently diagnosed with cancer. It started with a pain in her side that was ignored by multiple doctors to now we are on the

cusp of starting chemo therapy for a small tumor that is around a blood vessel.

She got a diagnosis of diabetes first, then my sister noticed she was jaundice and sent her to the hospital. Next thing we knew she was needing a stint to help her liver drain because the growth had blocked that from happening. While they were doing the stint they took some scrapes of the mass and it came back positive for cancer, Adenocarcinoma.

We have a plan, we have a positive outlook, we have amazing support but what we don’t have is a place to send people when they say “what can I do to help?” - until now.

I have mixed feelings about gofundme’s but I also know my mom has a network that stretches wide and would want to support her journey anyway they could.

I don’t have a goal in mind, they made me set one, but I know anything and everything will help as we don’t know what Medicare will cover and the stress of paying for getting better shouldn’t be a part of getting better.

If you have ever met or worked with my mom you know she goes above and beyond for everyone - even when we strongly urge her to stop and just relax!

If you can’t give, please share! I just want them to concentrate on the next few months of treatment, not on what it will cost. She obviously can’t work during this so her normal income will be stopped for a while.
