Help Dawn Fight Metastatic Breast Cancer

As many of you may know, my mom Dawn is a single mother of 6 (now grown) children, who always worked hard to make sure that her kids had everything they needed, even if it meant that she would go without. She is selfless, caring, and is always putting the needs of others before her own. Since 2004, Dawn has been caring for her mentally disabled brother Steve and her sister Deb, in addition to raising her neice and nephew on top of her own children. She's an amazing, strong, woman, who is always there for you.

On April 24th 2023, Dawn recieved devistating news that she had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of Metastatic Breast Cancer. Specifically, her breast cancer is called Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. Dawn's doctor confirmed that her cancer is at least a stage 3, but could be stage 4, pending lab results. GIven her diagnosis, she will undergo multiple rounds of intense chemotherapy, radiation therapy, recieve multiple imaging studies, take new medications, and will also get a double mastectomy while she goes through her treatment process. To add to the burden, since she has started her chemotherapy, Dawn has been unable to work due to the side effects. This has exhausted sick/vacation time at work, as well as her funds. As you can imagine, her Metastatic Breast Cancer diagnosis has added an imense level of emotional, physical, and financial stress on Dawn, during a time when she needs to be at her strongest!

Those of you who know Dawn, know that she is always the first person who offer or provide support to someone in need. You also know that she is full of pride and has never been one to ask for help, but during a time like this, she needs all the help she can get! This breast cancer diagnosis has already taken a huge toll on Dawn. To help ease the financial stress, a GoFundMe page has been created to help Dawn.
