Hi My name is Michelle and I am Dawn's Sister in law and wanted to tell you about her story.

Dawn is a beloveded Mother of four wonderful kids, wife to a quiet but creative, friendly husband, and member of a chaotic but loyal family. She is adored by her community, church and precious to me and so many others.

For the past 3 and a 1/2 years Dawn has been battling stage 4 metastatic colorectal cancer. In January of this year, we discovered her treatment was no longer working for her. So she started another form of chemo for about 3 months. However , it was unsuccessful in shrinking or eliminating tumors in her liver, so to preserve her quality of life, we terminated that treatment. We are now out of options with her oncologist, but he is referring her to possibly another targeted round of chemo or another option to go to the university of Washington to seek out possible clinical trials. Currently, the life expectancy without treatment is just 6 months, and we want to make that time count, not just for Dawn, but for her family and friends as well.

We are making this gofundme in hopes that we can help Dawn and her family continue to pay for the limited options for treatment and to create long-lasting memories to carry on through life.
