Hi there, my name is Dawn. My husband and I have taken on the duties of caring for the stray cats near our home over a year ago. Since that time, when there were approximately 4-6 cats/kittens, that number has grown significantly to 9-13 now, and 4 kittens showed up with their mother a few weeks ago Another4 showed up with the other Mother…I knew she had them and was coming for food about every 3-4 hours . They get fed wet food at least 2 times a day, and there is dry food always available. The winter weather is coming quickly. We have had storage bins with blankets, etc., and makeshift houses. The problem is there are a whole lot more of them now. It is getting to the point of us not being able to care for them, and that is devastating to me considering shelters are all still full and tend to put them down! I can’t fathom that! They have become family!

We have been trying to make these kitties as happy as possible and able to be handled to get them fixed, to stop the overpopulation.

We have a 16-year-old dog who is in need of end-of-life services, and I can’t manage that either. The dog can’t hold himself, and with arthritis, it makes it extremely difficult to get up quickly when the urge arises. So many accidents happen... a lot! 

Along with the kitties who will benefit, we are extremely grateful for whatever help you can assist with.

Donations are definitely for shelter with some sorta heat  we are willing to run extension cords with heating pads under their blankets to where the Momma is or heated pads. We ordered a little house and pads but won’t be here in time to keep warm with upcoming snow tomorrow..
