Hi, I’m a widow on a fixed income, and I never expected my life to look like this at 56. Single empty nester, kids outta the house with their own families and me ….with a LOTTA FERAL cats!

For 16 years, I had golden retrievers by my side, filling my home and heart with joy. But when my last golden passed away — and shortly after, my husband — the silence in my backyard was overwhelming.

Then the cats came.

Little by little, over the past 7 years, feral cats started showing up in my yard sleeping on the deck, my patio furniture and just relaxing in a place of peace. They were cautious, often passing through without a trace. I never tried to make them pets, unless they wanted to be — I just gave them food, captured and did a TNR rehabilitation process for them. Spay, neuter, shots, release and food everyday for years until you don’t see them anymore….

I’ve Spayed and neutered over 20 cats, over the last 7 years, rehomed actual “feral” cats into homes and placed so many kittens in their forever home.

But now, things have changed.

I have over 12 feral cats that depend on me daily! One of the feral momma cats gave birth in my shed to 5 of the cutest kitties I’ve ever seen! The kittens are tiny, covered in fleas, and they’re depending on their exhausted mom — and on me — for survival. And she’s not the only momma out there. There at least two other pregnant or nursing females that visit me daily within the neighborhood. So many more come after midnight because of the food I sit out nightly for all of them.

I’ve done what I can on my own. I’ve been paying out of pocket for spaying and neutering, vaccinations, antibiotics,

on top of all the food, canned and dry along with flea treatments, cat litter and temptations treats to lure them, along with straw and housing in the winter — stretching every dollar from my fixed income.

I never asked for help, because I didn’t mind quietly doing what needed to be done. But now it’s more than I can manage.

Here’s What I Need Help With:

I’m not a rescue. I’m not a cat whisperer. I’m just someone who once saw this cat life as a nuisance!!!!

and now I’m learning and realizing…

They didn’t ask to be born.

I’m just someone who wants to make sure these animals don’t suffer simply because they were born outside.

If you’re able to donate even $5 — every SINGLE dollar counts — it would help me care for these sweet, scared little lives.

And if you can’t donate but want to help in other ways like adopting a kitten or donating supplies!!!! I would be deeply grateful. I love cases of canned cat food and cat litter left at my door.
