We are a Kite school and camp in the Dominican Republic in Buen Hombre beach. 1 year ago we met Davisito and saw his incredible talent in kitesurfing and sponsored him for the first competitions in Cabarete, Dominican Republic.
He proved his talent with podium results in semi-pro and pro categories in the DR Open series of competitions.
Davisito tells his story in this video and to be able to compete in the world he still has a few operations to complete in the Boston hospital. The Shrines Hospital program has helped him to fix a big amount of the damages to his body and the total amount of operations he has done is over 40.
with this fundraiser we would like to raise money for his last travels to the Boston hospital to complete the operations. The support from the hospital ends at the age of 18.
David is a man with an inspiring story. As a baby he was severely burned, and barely survived. He was put into a coma and had over 40 surgeries. Life hasn't been easy for him. But despite these challenges David is living life to the fullest.
Recently he got the chance to learn to kitesurf, and right away he knew he had found his calling. In the past four years he has grown enormously, even with ongoing recovery from the surgeries in the meantime. His mindset is really impressive and inspiring, and surely this hasn't been the last we've seen from him!
Let him share his story with you.
With this film we want reach out to companies that are inspired by his story, in an attempt to support David to make his dream come true. He is already supported with kite gear by Ventum, and ongoing support from Kite Buen Hombre.
