Help Davis Study Aboard in Florence

Hey everybody, my name is Davis Armstrong. I am a junior at Appalachian State University, and I am a digital marketing major. Throughout my life, I have always struggled with school due to my learning disabilities, but with hard work and dedication, I am able to get good grades and maintain a high GPA. I have always had a challenge-seeking attitude with a willingness to learn. I have accepted and learned from every obstacle I have endured. I have a courageous spirit, and I am determined to experience everything college has to offer. I think studying abroad would be yet another educational challenge for me which will foster personal growth. Learning disabilities, in general, are very discouraging and frustrating; many people think that certain opportunities, such as international study abroad programs are NOT available to them. Resources and accommodations have helped me “tremendously” throughout my academic career and my life. I have recently learned that I can have those same resources and accommodations abroad!! So, I am doing everything I can to make it happen.

Please consider helping me obtain my international business credits and fulfill a dream of mine. I have applied for scholarships, but they are still pending, and it’s very unlikely I will get enough money in scholarships, and the program is very expensive. I have started this GoFundMe to help raise money for me to study abroad in Florence, Italy, this summer.
