Help David with Cancer Treatment Costs
Donation protected

In December, David received a diagnosis of throat cancer, and since then he has been dealing with physical and emotional adjustments that can be debilitating at times. He has already had one surgery and will require more procedures, possibly chemo and radiation, and therapy. All in all, he will need significant financial support for these expensive, and life-saving treatments.
David served in both the regular Army and the Alabama Army National Guard, with multiple combat deployments. He retired from the National Guard, and as such, doesn’t receive benefits or retirement pay until he turns 60.
For the past eight years, David has been a fixture at Bicycle Pro Shop, a local small business that has been incredibly supportive, but he doesn’t have extensive leave or medical benefits.
In addition to being a soldier for more than 23 years, David also served his community as a paramedic. He has a great sense of duty and service and is not one to ask for things for himself. That is why I am asking for him.
I'm trying to raise at least $25,000 at this time to give David the ability to cover expenses when he isn't able to work.
As many of you know, David is my former spouse, but I will always consider him a beloved friend and family member; and my hope is to work with everyone who contributes to give David support during his health crisis.
Please help me in this mission. Everyone who cares for David is so very grateful for anything you can do for him. No amount is too small, and in addition to monetary support, your kind thoughts, or prayers, for healing and moral support are incredibly appreciated.
