My name is David, I'm 39 years old. I lost my leg below the knee 7 years ago. I recently lost my health insurance, and now it has come time for me to get a new socket and foot for my leg. My prosthetic foot has hydraulics, and at least one socket is broken. This is causing my foot to trip me up when I walk, making daily life much more difficult and even dangerous. I have exhausted every other means with no solution, and this situation has started to wear on my mental health. It’s hard to admit, but I’m struggling to stay positive as I face these challenges.

I am reaching out to my friends, family, and anyone who might be able to help me, at least, get a new foot. I do not like handouts, and if you truly know me, you know I am not a person who asks for help lightly. But right now, I truly need help getting a foot so I can walk safely again and regain some independence.
