Please help David & Vanessa in their fight against Multiple Myeloma

My name is Jenny O'Connor, and I’ve created this fundraiser for my dear cousin, David S. Schneider, and his wife and dear friend of mine, Vanessa Saari.

My cousin David was recently diagnosed with cancer, multiple myeloma, and is undergoing an aggressive treatment protocol over the next few months in the hopes of turning things around. Vanessa took David to the ER noticing something was off and after many, many tests he was diagnosed. This is cancer of plasma cells. Plasma cells are a type of white blood cell in the bone marrow. There is no current cure. The goal is to put it into remission with a bone marrow transplant and extend the time he and Vanessa have together.

In order to get this treatment, David and Vanessa will need to travel over an hour away to the Mayo Clinic and stay there for extended periods of time. Obviously, this will require hotel stays, food, care for their four-legged (and one three-legged) family members, as well as various other expenses.

It’s for these reasons that I’ve created this GoFundMe fundraiser to help ease them in the challenges of this part of their journey and help with the aspects of life that are just impossible to keep up with in these situations.

David has always been the kind of guy that jumps in to help everyone else in need. Now it’s our turn to help him.

Vanessa and David thank each and every one of you, and their hearts are full and hope continues to grow.
