Hi friends,
My name is David (a.k.a Dahveed), and I want to become proficient and professionally trained in the visual arts. To achieve a professional level, I need to immerse myself in an Animation School that teaches the fundamentals of drawing, 2D/3D principles and animation, writing, cinema and art history, projects, production pipelines, teamwork etc.
I have applied for the ENSI/Ecole des Nouvelles Images school in Avignon (one of the best schools in France and the world), and they are very eager to have me. I'm excited to be part of the school and learn and practice full-time. Unlike other schools, they don't discriminate based on my age (40) and level of skills is necessary (which need refinement, but they say that I will make progress in no time)
I have been blessed to serve the Oroville Community for close to 7 years. However, I feel being called to start a new chapter in Avignon. But it is also the continuation of what I have been brought to do for the past seven years.
Avignon, France, is my hometown, but Oroville has become my hometown of heart now, and I am proud to represent it overseas!
I wouldn't say I like asking for money, and I tried to get a loan in France, BUT due to my situation and because I haven't lived in France for close to 7 years, banks are turning me down, even my banker had told me he would grant me a loan, but he changed his mind (which I understand since my case is risky to them)
There is no credit score to get loans here; it is based on your revenues and your co-signer's revenues, how long you have worked the same job, etc. they need to know you have a stable situation, which I don't.
My only option is to borrow money from friends/family or get donations. I'd rather borrow money and pay it back, so we can do that if you want. Let's talk about it.
Once I get my first year started, and after settling in France for more than 6 months, the banks here will be more accepting and willing to let me borrow money and then I'll be able to pay for the following years.
The school is 35h/week + extra work on projects, so it is intense, but I still plan to get a part-time job asap. I'm already looking for a flexible job that will allow me to study.
I would be forever grateful for your help, and if you would instead loan me money, that works too, and we can come up with a payment plan.
My first year of school is $7,350; my payment plan is in 3 installments.
The first installment of €2,450 is due September 16.
Feel free to contact me. All the funds will be converted into euros and go to my french bank account.
Thank you for any support; I appreciate it.
Let me know if you have any questions.
David
