I’m David, and I never imagined I would be in a position to ask for this kind of help. I was recently diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer, and since then my life has changed in ways I’m still trying to process. While I focus on chemotherapy and getting through treatment, I’ve also run out of employer FMLA and PTO. That means the income I relied on is no longer there, even though my regular expenses have not stopped. I’m now facing rent, household bills, and the cost of chemotherapy all at the same time, and it has become more than I can manage on my own.
This fundraiser is to help me stay afloat while I go through treatment. The support will help me keep my house so I have a place to live, keep my truck so I have transportation, and cover some of the wages I’m missing while I’m unable to work as usual. These are ongoing needs, and having steady support over time would make a real difference as I continue through treatment and try to keep up with monthly essentials. If you’re able to give recurring support, it would help me plan for rent, bills, transportation, and day-to-day stability in the months ahead. If a one-time donation is what you can do, that would also mean so much to me. Thank you for anything you can provide, I truly appreciate the help and support.
