David Rolin needs our help now!

Dear friends of David,

Kirstin here on behalf of David Rolin, and his other 2 superwomen, Jane and T. to ask for help.

David is a much loved elder of the Portland community, the Dodge community, the OCF family, and a deep human who has touched many lives with his contagious sense of humor and stories of a life well-lived. David will be 86 in two weeks. Many of you know the long road that a dementia diagnosis brings. After winning 8 battles with Cancer, he is still able to live in his home, and we have recently found him a great housemate who is also a licensed caregiver. This is wonderful news!

As you can imagine, David wouldn't be happy nor comfortable in any kind of assisted living situation.

David's very small fixed income gets him by month to month ok. However, both his AC and furnace must be replaced now and property taxes follow in a few short months. These are not affordable for him and he needs assistance. David is mostly homebound, so his heat/AC situation is a priority. Last year's heat broke the old AC unit & we're expecting similar heat right around the corner this summer.

Please help this amazing human! David has lived a long community based life & it's now time for him to accept help from his various artistic communities who have benefitted from his love over the years.

We need to raise enough money for both the HVAC replacement and his property taxes. David's dementia prevents him from being aware of these issues. He must trust that you - his community - and his team of three (me, Jane, and T), take care of most everything for him.
