We are coming together to support our dear friend David - a man whose heart, generosity, & quiet strength have touched so many of us over the years.

David Robbins spent years caring for others as a nurse & devoted friend. Now facing cognitive decline, he needs our support. Funds will help provide caregiving, essentials, & stability as we assess his needs.

Let’s step up for a man who always showed up for others

David "Robbie" opened his home to many without hesitation or condition. Friends parked boats there, used his beautiful house their base while they crisscrossed Florida. David welcomed all as family.

David holds his home there for whoever needs shelter & care, food - without qualification - literally.

Famously, David moved into his home a lifetime Federally convicted bank robber, well into his senior years, others found this man's history eBay, actually with newspaper clips. And he was a superlative resident in Dave's home. Absolute truth.

David has opened his doors to people in wheelchairs, VA patients, recovery souls, disabled people, students from overseas, folks in crisis. One night a woman showed up in tears. David welcomed her in. That’s who he is.

David is currently living with chronic dementia, a condition rooted in years of sports-related injuries from his days on the ice and field.

As many of you know, David gave his all to every game and every teammate. Now, after a lifetime of giving to others, he faces the greatest challenge of all - one that demands compassion, resources, and community.

Anyone who knows David knows the kind of person he is. Always the first to lend a hand, never seeking attention, he’s been a steady, selfless presence in countless lives. Whether it was a warm smile, a ride to the airport, or simply showing up when it mattered, David has always been there.

Today, we have a chance to be there for him.

Funds raised will go toward David’s ongoing care, including medical support, assisted living expenses, and making sure he’s surrounded by dignity and comfort in this difficult chapter.
