Help David Replace his Stolen Tools & Truck
Donation protected
I created this fundraising effort for a good man by the name of David A. David is one of the workers remodeling my home. Yesterday, March 19th at 12:30am, his Chevy Silverado Utility Truck loaded with all his work tools, was stolen outside of his home in City Heights. As a construction tradesman for the past 35 years, this is a devastating blow at a very difficult time for him, his family, and his co-workers that relied on his vehicle and tools to work and earn a living. His truck is valued at $10,000 and the stolen tools are valued at over $8,000. He inspired me to create this for him because of his incredibly good nature, and while he is remaining positive, I can see the deep pain in his eyes and the concern he has about his future. He has already had to cancel his upcoming jobs as he will be unable to perform without his tools. Essentially his entire career and business was in that truck, and in the blink of an eye it is all gone. I haven’t told him about this fundraising effort. Since I’ve never done one before I didn’t want to give him any false hopes in case it is unsuccessful. My hope is to surprise him in the coming weeks with whatever goodwill we can generate and demonstrate to him that his good karma is being reciprocated by our community. 100% of the funds will go directly to David and his family to begin rebuilding his business. Thank you for reading, contributing, and/or sharing this story.
