My name is David, and I’ve always been a busy, active person. But a couple of years ago, my back pain reached a critical point. After seeing the doctor, I learned I have degenerative disc disease, two tears in my spine, and a neck bone that’s lost its natural curve. These conditions have forced me to slow down and rethink how I live my life. I’m currently in physical therapy, hoping it will help relieve the pain and loss of feeling in my body. It’s been a difficult journey, and I’m still learning how to adapt to these changes while staying positive and healthy in body, mind, and spirit.

Getting around has become a real challenge. Regular bikes are too uncomfortable for my back, and my e-bikes have stopped working. I’ve been trying to save up for an e-tricycle for over a year, but it’s been tough. An e-tricycle would make a huge difference for me. With three wheels, I could get on and off easily, carry groceries and tools, and distribute the effort of pedaling across more muscles. The pedal assist would help me stay in shape, and having a throttle would be a lifesaver on my worst days. Most importantly, it would give me back some independence and take a huge weight off my shoulders, as I wouldn’t have to rely on others just to get to the store or run errands.

If I can take this step toward better mobility, I would be so grateful. My goal is to get back to a less painful, more active life, and then use my renewed energy to help others whenever I can.
