23 months ago, I suffered cardiac arrest and anoxic brain injury, which left me in a coma and later diagnosed with a rare neurological movement disorder. Since then, I have been unable to work due to seizures and other symptoms, and I have lost my ability to be independent. Before my accident, I paid all my bills including rent, food, transportation, and phone. Nowadays, I am dependent on my 84-year-old grandma who raised me. My father isn’t present, and my mother is struggling financially as well.
