Hello, my name is Jessica and I created this GoFundMe on behalf of the Torres family.

On Sunday, May 11th, David Torres (age 9) was celebrating Mother's Day at Santa Monica Pier with his family. They were walking in the pedestrian lane when suddenly a man on an electric bicycle, riding without caution, struck David and took off. He did not stop, and unfortunately, no one was able to catch up to him.

David flew approximately 10 feet from where he was standing and has suffered several injuries. Unfortunately, he broke his leg and will need surgery to help him recover.

No family is ever prepared for anything tragic to happen to their child.

If you know David he is a bright, funny and loving kid!

All donations will be going to the Torres family to help with medical bills and other expenses that will help David recover.
