On July 14, my brother David suffered a devastating injury while using a circular saw—losing three fingers. Thankfully, doctors were able to reattach his thumb, and he’s hopeful it will regain function. His pinky was spared, offering him some grip.
David is a handyman and jack-of-all-trades. This injury has drastically impacted his ability to work. He’s the kind of person who shows up with a truck to help move furniture, mow a lawn, or fix whatever needs fixing—always the first to lend a hand.
This happened while he was helping a friend on a side job. Since it wasn’t official work, there’s no BWC or disability coverage to help with lost income or medical bills. He has no safety net.
If you know David, you know what a generous, selfless soul he is. And if you don’t, trust that he’s the type who’d help you anyway, no questions asked.
