Help David Hart recover from his accident surgery

On Sunday May 16th David Hart was involved in a crash during a bicycle race that caused a break in his femur and soft tissue trauma. He was hospitalized and had surgery to place a rod and screws in his leg and given a transfusion due to blood loss. He is expecting to be home from the hospital by May 23rd. This will be a long recovery and require many trips to PT.
David does have health insurance and purchased SPOT bike racing insurance prior to this event. Unfortunately, he was unemployed for the last year and a half and has only been at his new employer 6 months. This put a drain on savings.
