Hi, my name is David Raines, and I'm 36 years old. I have Sickle Cell. Over the past few years, I have been dealing with severe health issues, which has led me to need my second kidney transplant. If not to make things worse, I'm also living in remission and currently recovering from stomach surgery where I had to have a non-cancerous tumor removed from my stomach. Things have been hard, but fortunately, I have found a living donor and I have a guardian angel who has been there for me. I need more help to pay for the transplant. I live in Georgia, where the political, economic, and health insurance system has failed us and has made healthcare costs unaffordable and assistance impossible.
