Greetings to our Family & Friends: This is Barbara. I’m setting up this GoFundMe Campaign for my son, David, and his wife, Rachel. David was diagnosed with inoperable cancer in September 2024. He’s in his 3rd round of chemotherapy and radiation, showing some progress; however, David hasn’t been able to work for several months. As an uninsured, independent contractor, he receives some financial assistance for medical bills and has recently been approved for Social Security disability, which won’t be effective until October 2025.

David and Rachel have been living in a garage, built by David several years ago on a beautifully wooded piece of property gifted to him by his Father and Stepmom. David’s dream is to have a home and space where his kids and grandkids can visit and enjoy being in the country. They decided to build a small barndominium and not to have a mortgage. To date, the barndominium is about 85%-90% finished. Living on only Rachel’s income has left no funds to dedicate to finishing the barndominium.

Your donations will allow David and Rachel to focus on his health and be living in their new home before Winter sets in. The estimated cost to complete the new build is $30-$45,000.
