Help a Single Father Rebuild His Creative Life Post-COVID

Hi, my name is David Ocasio. I’m a single father, a dedicated worker, and a lifelong creative. Before COVID-19 changed the world, I built my career behind the lens—as a photographer, videographer, and content creator. The pandemic hit hard, but I held on. My small photography business survived, and I’m proud to say I’m still creating today.

In addition to my creative work, I also work as a carpenter, a building maintenance repairman, and a security guard. I wear many hats to provide for my baby and to keep pushing forward. Right now, I’m actively seeking new work opportunities and client referrals in any of these fields—photography, videography, security, carpentry, or general building maintenance.

But to keep moving forward, I need your help.

I’m asking for support to secure stable housing—a place where I can safely raise my child and build a small editing lab from home. Currently, I’m editing videos in cafés, balancing a laptop and managing without my desktop setup. It’s not sustainable, especially while raising a little one and trying to maintain professional quality work.
