Help David Fight Cancer

To be in the presence of David Meurer means you have been lucky enough to have been impacted by his genuine kindness, his infectious laugh, quick wit, and his positive heart and soul. He is a deeply loved husband, a constant friend, and has served as the light and strength for countless members of our community in his therapy practice. To know him is to love him.

Our hearts are broken to say that our dear friend has cancer.

On June 14th, David suffered a seizure while returning home to Montana from visiting family in Louisiana. He had imaging studies done where doctors discovered a tumor on his brain and his kidney. He underwent emergency surgery in New Orleans where doctors were able to remove the tumor in his brain. Following pathology, David was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer: Grade 4 Glioblastoma. The unrelated cancerous mass on his kidney still needs to be addressed.

David will undergo radiation for 6 weeks and oral chemotherapy for months to come. David and Christy will relocate to Denver for his care. David was forced to make the heartbreaking decision to close his therapy practice, something he has poured his heart into for many years. With the loss of one income, travel expenses, and the hope of experimental drug treatments, David and Christy need our support as they face a future with many unknowns.

It is no surprise that David is strong and he is filled with hope and positivity. If anyone can beat this cancer, it is him. We know that soon he will be back to hiking, running, and traveling the world with his best friend and constant support, Christy, right by his side.

It’s our turn to show up for Christy and David who have selflessly spent their lives pouring love into everyone else. Let’s lift them up with love, hope, and strength. If you are able, we are asking you to please consider a donation for our friend.
