Help David Maintain Stability Amid Change
Donation protected
David is a middle school and high school English / Special Education teacher with multiple invisible disabilities. He recently found out that his contract at his current school is not being renewed. His job ends June 28. He is interviewing and looking at positions that will accommodate his disabilities, but he is worried about monthly bills like rent, power, gas, medications, and food.
David was un-housed while working full-time as a high school English teacher in Phoenix, AZ, after his car broke down and his rent went up $500 over night. Since moving back to St. Louis, he was able to get an apartment for him and his 2 cats and to regain much of what he had lost during that ordeal. He has had a peace and feeling of safety since October and is worried about losing what he has regained during this time of transition.
He hopes to have a new job very soon, but most schools do not start their new school year until mid August. If you are able to help, it is greatly appreciated. Feel free to share.
