My husband David Lovely has always been an active, loving father and grandfather who enjoys being outdoors, playing cards, and spending time with his children and grandson. On August 7th, we received the devastating news that David would need a lung transplant. Since then, his health has declined rapidly, and he is now unable to leave the hospital. His oxygen levels are dangerously low, and without a transplant soon, he may need to be placed on a ventilator.
The hospital that can perform David’s transplant is over an hour away from our home. They require him to stay on campus for an extended period after the procedure, which means we’re facing significant housing costs, on top of mounting medical bills and daily expenses. With David in the hospital, I am balancing caring for our family, managing household responsibilities, and trying to keep up with the growing financial burden.
We are reaching out for support to help cover the costs of David’s hospital stay, post-transplant housing, and our family’s essential needs during this critical time. Any help will make a difference as we fight to keep our family together and give David the best chance at recovery. Thank you for reading our story and for any support you can offer.
